CALL FOR PAPERS
7th Financial Economics Meeting (FEM-2026)
December 14–16, 2026 | Paris, France

ABOUT THE CONFERENCE

We are delighted to announce the 7th edition of the Financial Economics Meeting (FEM-2026), organized under the auspices of the Mediterranean Economic & Empirical Finance Society (AMEF), in parternship of EDC Paris Business School, INSEEC Grande École, Athens University of Economics and Business, and CY Cergy Paris University.

This prestigious annual gathering will take place in Paris from December 14th to 16th, 2026, bringing together leading academics, practitioners, and policymakers at the frontier of financial economics research.

Since its inaugural edition in 2020, FEM has established itself as a premier venue for rigorous scholarly exchange on the most pressing challenges facing the global financial system. The 2026 edition builds on this tradition, with a particular focus on the structural transformations reshaping financial markets, banking systems, and macroeconomic policy in an era of compounding crises.

CONFERENCE THEME

Navigating Uncertainty: Financial Systems in a Fragmented World

The global economy continues to face a confluence of unprecedented challenges: persistent inflationary pressures, tightening monetary cycles, heightened geopolitical fragmentation, the accelerating urgency of climate transition, and the disruptive potential of artificial intelligence and digital finance. These forces are reshaping capital flows, asset pricing, banking behavior, and macroeconomic dynamics in ways that demand new theoretical frameworks and empirical methodologies.

FEM-2026 provides a vital platform to explore these evolving dynamics, with a particular emphasis on innovative approaches in financial econometrics, machine learning, big data analytics, and network analysis — tools increasingly essential to modeling complexity, nonlinearity, and systemic risk in modern financial systems.
